Helping Zeplin users navigate easily to the content they need everyday.

Problem

Zeplin users in 2021 were accustomed to manually navigating their workspace to reach the content they need for their daily work.

The day-to-day tasks like inspecting components, specs, reviewing new comments, reviewing version changes, all happen at a 'screen level'. There was no easy way hop around screens across projects.

We designed an intuitive and powerful cmd+k search bar that surfaces content from across the app, grouped by 'type', indexed by 'last modified', and more weight on results from the project you're currently in.

Within 30d of GA, 60% of Global Search users were using cmd+k to access screens directly. MAU for enterprise users went up 12% by EoY.
